Finance, Investment and Technology Committee

The Finance, Investment and Technology Committee provides oversight to the finance and investment functions of HP. The Finance, Investment and Technology Committee also assists the Board in evaluating investment, acquisition, outsourcing services, joint venture and divestiture transactions in which HP engages as part of its business strategy from time to time and reports and makes recommendations to the Board as to scope, direction, quality, investment levels and execution of such transactions; evaluates and revises HP’s approval policies with respect to such transactions; oversees HP’s integration planning and execution and the financial results of such transactions after integration; evaluates the execution, financial results and integration of HP’s completed transactions; and oversees and approves HP’s strategic alliances. In addition, the Finance, Investment and Technology Committee makes recommendations to the Board as to scope, direction, quality, investment levels and execution of HP’s technology strategies; oversees the execution of technology strategies formulated by management; and provides guidance on technology as it may pertain to, among other things, market entry and exit, investments, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, new business divisions and spin-offs, research and development investments and key competitor and partnership strategies.
